I Am Woman. Hear Me ROAR! ;)
Kudos to the guy who wrote this... He seems to have a lot of respect for women... :) And I totally agree with him on the last bit, by the way... In fact, I'm always reminding my girls of this fact... Don't forget your worth. Cheers! ;o) ------------- Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy. They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice. They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution. They go without so their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding. Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think that there is no strength left. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart. Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or write you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning. They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideas. They give moral support to their family and friends. Women have vital things to say and everything to give. HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Hmm... Interesting.
Here's what my horoscope said today.
Spooky...
-----------------
You should know that you can always rely on your friends for support. Reach out.
Over the years, you've become pretty darned skilled at keeping your
deepest feelings to yourself.
In fact, no matter what it is, if you
don't want anyone to know about it, that's how it will stay -- on your
end, at least.
There's something gnawing at you now, though --
something you just can't wait to talk about.
Fortunately, you were born
with the type of rock solid discretion that's impenetrable.
Good thing,
too.

All the Love in the World...
"Do you not know that there comes a midnight hour when every one has to throw off his mask?
Do you believe that life will always let itself be mocked?
Do you think you can slip away a little before midnight in order to avoid this?
Or are you not terrified by it?
I have seen men in real life who so long deceived others that at last their true nature could not reveal itself...
In every man there is something which to a certain degree prevents him from becoming perfectly transparent to himself; and this may be the case in so high a degree, he may be so inexplicably woven into relationships of life which extend far beyond himself that he almost cannot reveal himself.
But he who cannot reveal himself cannot love, and he who cannot love is the most unhappy man of all."

The Ultimate-Perfect-Hover-Snake-Shot
Dear Chris, Please refer to items 1 and 2. Cheers! ;o) ---------------- Item 1: Miss you loads Item 2: I SCORED AN ULTIMATE-PERFECT-HOVER-SNAKE-SHOT WITH A CHERRY BALL!!! WOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!! *over the moon* ---------------- Hehe... *ehem* Sorry... It's been a while since I played foosball. And it's been an even LONGER while since I was any good at it! ;p Do you know what I honestly think?? The less I play, the better I get! Seriously! So Chris... Next semester, I shall resolve to only play foosball OCCASIONALLY. Apparently, the time away from the table somehow helps me improve. And it feels THAT much better when you score an amazing shot! ;) P/s: I think you were definitely right about cherry balls and hover snakes. They go VERY well together... :) Much love, - Kate -

In The Heart Of Every Girl...
In the heart of every girl There's a woman waking up Like sunlight spreads across the world A smile for us is just enough But in the heart of every girl There's a homespun family dream A light that's filled with so much joy From a curly-head beauty to a teenage queen And honeymoons in summer prove We'll always love a bride The gift you give us all Is the one you hold inside This lucky life, this crazy mixed up world Is all because we love what lives In the heart of every girl In the heart of every girl There's always room for valentines And boys to kneel and tip their hands With words as sweet as summer wine And in the heart of every girl There is a rose for every spring A peach that's fragrant and divine She shines just like a wedding ring Eyes can light up any room The moment she steps in Intoxicating everyone A life alone should be a sin "The Heart of Every Girl" ~ Elton John This year, I broadened my horizons. I battled my demons. I faced my fears. I discovered and uncovered my heart. And I explored my soul. I did pretty much what I do every year... I grew up. Happy New Year.

I don't plan on writing about many events or occasions in my blog, but for this one, I'll make an exception. For the benefit of Sophie and Edwina as well as anyone else who's wondering how the ball went, of course... :) To cut a long story short, I had a blast! ;o) Sorry,
Soph... I ain't going into details about clothes, decorations or any of
that stuff... You can yell at me for that later... ;p What I will say is this. The food was good, the entertainment was decent and the pageant, by my standards, was amazing. :D I'm
so happy for everybody... The pageant turned out really well... It
exceeded my expectations and I just grew to love all the finalists...
Hehe... Then again, I do get attached to things quite
easily. But in my defense, there were a couple of REALLY sweet people
in the finals! I'm glad everybody gets a prize in the end coz they
deserve something for all the effort. I'm glad I had the chance to meet
and work with all these great people. That's the one thing
about MUSA that I love. It's the people. Meeting so many new people and
getting the chance to work with them... It's just an experience that
I'll treasure always. But here's where I tell you the most crucial part of the whole evening. What made the night so great, that is. Honestly, if the other girls in that ballroom knew how well I was taken care of tonight, they'd probably go green with envy! Chris
is just so remarkably attentive and sweet and sincere that any girl
would be so incredibly lucky to find herself on a date with him. That's
my honest opinion. Against every guy who attended the ball, I'd award Chris the following titles: 1- Best Looking Guy in the room 2- Best Guy in the room 3- And of course, My Best Friend... ;p So here's a Toast... To
the guy that never ceases to amaze me, whether in terms of how
thoughful he can be, or how much of a super learner he is, or anything
in between. You know I could never do you enough justice... But thanks for tonight... :) And to the rest of you: GO TO BED!! ;p Hahah! Signing off, this is me. Cheers! ;)

I was expecting today to be hard.
I
had so many things booked for today among which were a forum I wanted
to participate in, a mid term paper, assignments due and of course,
there was that pageant show...
But in the end, it actually turned out to be a surprisingly good day.
And although just this morning I was desperately clinging on to the edge of my sanity, right now, I find that I'm back on track.
Which just goes to show you...
Life can surprise you sometimes.
You just have to give it a chance to bounce back.
Einstein once said, "In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity".
Sometimes
it's hard to see what the opportunity might be, but if you look at the
right places, you'll find all the answer you need.
For me personally, I found out today that I can handle a lot more than I give myself credit for.
In a way, I feel a sense of liberation... Mixed with maybe just a little bit of pride.
Next time, I'll know enough not to make a fuss until I've tried my hand at it.
Coz you never know what you're capable of until you test your limits and rise to the challenge.
I wonder what was Edwina's choice...
Today was a big day for her as well...
Hope she had a good day too...

Dear Chris,
I'll always be there to draw you an Umbrella...
---------------
Where is the moment we needed the most You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost They tell me your blue skies fade to grey They tell me your passion's gone away And I don't need no carryin' on
You stand in the line just to hit a new low You're faking a smile with the coffee to go You tell me your life's been way off line You're falling to pieces everytime And I don't need no carryin' on
Cause you had a bad day You're taking one down You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know You tell me don't lie You work at a smile and you go for a ride You had a bad day The camera don't lie You're coming back down and you really don't mind You had a bad day You had a bad day
Well you need a blue sky holiday The point is they laugh at what you say And I don't need no carryin' on
Sometimes the system goes on the blink And the whole thing turns out wrong You might not make it back and you know That you could be well oh that strong And I'm not wrong
So where is the passion when you need it the most Oh you and I You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
Cause you had a bad day You're taking one down You sing a sad song just to turn it around You say you don't know You tell me don't lie You work at a smile and you go for a ride You had a bad day You've seen what you like And how does it feel for one more time You had a bad day You had a bad day

Today, the haze quadroopled in intensity.
And I finally decided to get a surgical mask.
However, I added a little twist to the tale.
I drew a kitty face on it.
Complete with nose, mouth, whiskers and a tongue sticking out.
;p
Hehe... That was fun.
I went all around University with a kitty face on! Haha!
But hey, you only live once, right? And this was something that I really felt like doing.
I have to admit, it was pretty cute... *grin*
And I love making people laugh.
Christopher and I have that in common.
That's
why when he said all the stuff he said in the interview, I was the only
one who really appreciated the full extent of what he had said.
Not only do I understand him, I can relate very well to him, too... :)
I drew Chris a kitty face as well... But I think I'm more suited for a kitty face than he is...
I think tomorrow I'm going to buy him a mask and design it to look like Darth Vader... Hehe...
And who knows?
I may even start a trend... ;)
Cheerios! ;o)
